This review is from: Quick Convert Adapter - Allows Installation of Kidde Alarm in Firex Wiring Harness - Kidde KA-F These worked perfectly! Easy and quick to install with a pair of pliers. Made replacing/upgrading our existing smoke detectors a breeze. No trying to determine which breaker to turn off and rewiring all the detectors in the ceiling. Just remove the old smoke detector and plate and put the new one up. It took us about 3 mins per detector. I have three alarms connected. If any one goes off, all three go off. The AC also worked so the battery is backup only. Fit well, no issues going into the alarm or the old cable. This review is from: Quick Convert Adapter - Allows Installation of Kidde Alarm in Firex Wiring Harness - Kidde KA-F Converters worked well, fit properly and made the job of replacing the old units a 2 minute per unit job. Replaced a 10 yr old "builder's special" Firex smoke alarm with this Kidde converter and a Kidde smoke/CO alarm. All features of the alarm (alarm signal and talking warning explaining the hazard) worked properly at each alarm and also transferred properly to all the other alarms in the house (5) when one activated.
